Epic Capital Management Founded in 2000, Epic Capital Management Inc.'s (Epic) goal is to achieve superior risk-adjusted returns. Our value-added approach combines the investment experience of the portfolio manager and his investment team together with a bottom-up investment style.
Epic manages in excess of $300 million in assets for high net worth and institutional clients. Epic presently manages the Canadian Long/Short strategy.
Epic is registered with the Ontario Securities Commission as an Investment Counsel and Portfolio Manager and is a Limited Market Dealer. Epic is also a member of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) Canada.

Epic trust
Investors may gain exposure to Epic's Canadian Long/Short Fund (Epic Limited Partnership) in registered accounts including RRSP and RESP accounts through the Epic Trust (formerly Epic RSP Trust).
The Epic Trust was formed to purchase units of the Canadian Long/Short Fund. The performance of the Epic Trust will track the Canadian Long/Short Fund net of offering and administration costs.
Epic Trust may also be held in unregistered accounts. The Epic Trust may be purchased directly through Epic Capital Management Inc. (''Epic'') and is also available electronically through several dealers under the fundserv code EPC 100.

The Epic Income Fund seeks to utilize the proven Epic Capital Management Inc. ("Epic") investment process and invest in a universe of primarily income paying securities. Epic seeks to produce absolute returns while constructing the portfolio to have an income generating profile.
The elements of the investment process that Epic employs in the management of the income fund are:
- Long and short equity

- Value bias towards stock selection
- Emphasis on fact finding and fundamental research
- Evaluate the macro environment (themes)
- Mid-cap focus (target companies between $250mm to $3 B in market capitalization)
- Other strategy tools may include varying the net and gross exposures of the fund, shifting sector weights and actively varying portfolio hedges.
For the Epic Income Fund, at present all distributions received in the fund are paid out to investors each month. It is important to note that the distributions that are produced from the fund will vary from period to period and will depend on the fund holdings and various other market factors.
Based on the fund's last 12 months of operation, annualized distributions approximate 5.9 percent based on the fund's initial issue price.
