The Toronto Kart Club (TKC) has been in operation since 1960, and is the number-one place for the young and not-so-young to enjoy the thrill and excitement of wheel-to-wheel motorsports action and competition at the grass-roots level. Our 160+ members range in age from 8 years to 60 plus, and come from all over Southern Ontario. Amateur motorsports is currently the fastest growing sport in North America. Toronto Kart Club is known as "The Fun Place to Race".
TKC's home track is Goodwood Kartways, located just north of Stouffville -- a short distance from Toronto. Goodwood Kartways was built in the early 1960's, and has been the training ground for such Canadian racing greats as Paul Tracy, Scott Goodyear, and Ron Fellows. Several of our more recent graduates are continuing to exhibit their racing skills as they move up to cars such as F1200, F1600, F2000, Fran-Am Series, Barber-Dodge Pro Series, and Formula BMW. In spite of its age, Goodwood Kartways is still recognized as one of the most challenging and best developmental tracks in Canada. TKC strives to offer its members as much variety and challenge as possible, so we also hold several away races at various locations in Ontario, as well as in New York State.

Classes or divisions are separated by age, weight, and engine type in order to even the playing field. Our members compete for daily trophies, which are awarded to the top 5 finishers in each of our eight classes. The annual championship is determined by total points for the year. Year-end awards are given to all drivers who have participated in at least ten Club events.
Our racing schedule starts in April, and runs until the end of October. In addition to our Club races, we also host a number of special events, including the prestigious Canada Cup, and the fall Ironman Enduro -- these events attract the hardiest racers from all over Ontario. The highlight of our season is our Gala Awards Banquet where all our drivers, sponsors, and volunteers are honoured.

Our events are conducted with safety and fun as our primary goals. We operate under ASN-FIA Canadian Karting regulations, and each event is covered by a comprehensive insurance policy. We work hard to keep expenses as low as possible, which results in low membership and entry fees, and maximum benefit to our members. We also rely on corporate sponsorship to help offset the rising costs of running our race events. Some of these ongoing costs include: track rental, officials, insurance, ambulance services, and awards.
The Toronto Kart Club is a registered not-for-profit corporation, and a group of dedicated and elected volunteers are the cornerstone of our success.

The objectives of Toronto Kart Club are as follows:

* To promote the sport of karting as an enjoyable form of individual and/or family recreation.
* To organize and promote competitions (race events) and establish and grant prizes and awards.
* To provide a safe, clean and enjoyable environment in which individuals and families can enjoy kart racing as an activity.
* To foster the growth of our members in terms of their racing skills, social skills, leadership skills, goodwill, sportsmanship, and both personal and community self-esteem.

Toronto Kart Club's home track is located at Goodwood Kartway, approximately 50km (30 mi.) from downtown Toronto, Ontario. From Metropolitan Toronto take Highway 404 north to Bloomington Rd. Turn east approximately 12km (8 mi.) to York-Durham Line. Continue east to the first road north "2nd. Concession" (Large sign on right for Goodwood Kartway). Head north about 2.5km to four-way stop; Goodwood Kartway is located on the northwest corner of 2nd Conc & Wagg Rd. Turn left onto Wagg Road, and main entrance will be on the right.
We are the former home of both Paul Tracy and Scott Goodyear. Both began their illustrious careers at Goodwood! We offer a 1/2 mile paved road course with the longest straight approximately 300 feet. The track can be run in several configurations and directions, and these are noted beside each event on the TKC Season Schedule page.
The facility has a paved pit area and ample parking. Snack bar facilities are on-site with great barbecued dogs and burgers all day on race day! The washrooms are permanent and clean. The location is a beautiful rural venue with lots of great spectator viewing areas.
